To
Whom It May Concern:
Allen and Barbara Simpson of Rolling Meadows Academy of Dog Training, LLC
have had a thriving business in the Denton, NC area for over 13 years.
During this time, they have been innovators and leaders in developing new
programs for dogs that benefit all levels of community, people and the
dogs. Other than the usual services of a kennel such as boarding,
grooming and training dogs both for police and private citizens, the
Simpson's have also created special programs. Early they started one
of North Carolina's first "Doggie Day Cares" to help socialize and
exercise dogs for their owners. They created two volunteer programs;
the first, "New Leash On Life" allows inmates to train rescued dogs from
the Humane Society and other sources that are then adopted. The
other, a "Dog Fun Fair" raises money for the Marine Corps Scholarship
Foundation. They have also created another program "Trained Adult
Pet Dogs For Sale" in which rescued dogs are trained in their obedience
program and then sold to owners across the Nation. These programs,
training rescued dogs, save the dogs and reduce the cost of maintaining
the animal shelter.
The Simpson's have been a valuable asset to the community and because of
their devotion to dogs, they have giving dogs, that would have been
destroyed, a chance at a full life and given the inmates a feeling of
worth.
Sincerely,
Stan Bingham

To Whom It May Concern:
Six years ago Allen and Barbara Simpson Imported us a German Shepherd Dog.
We had requested that the dog have specific traits. We have been
extremely happy with this dog and she has never disappointed us. She
is as requested, the perfect combination of Guard Dog and Pet. She
is healthy, smart, loving and beautiful. We are grateful to the
Simpson's resourcefulness in finding us the perfect dog.
Sincerely,
Senator, Stan Bingham
Hey Barbara and Allen,
sorry it took me so long
to send you a note. We are so enjoying our little Princess that I cant
even tell you. She is a total momma’s girl. Izzy has lost at least 5 or
6 pounds and Princess has gained a few. They all get along so well
together and Princess loves the kitty too. Thank you so much for the
lovely gift of Princess.
This is a little note
for any of you who might be looking for a trained dog on this sight. We
received a new girl (a poodle named Princess) on March 12, 2007 from
Rolling Meadows Academy of Dog Training. First of all Barbara and Allen took the
time to drive all the way to South Dakota to deliver her and train us on
her commands. She was so well socialized that she just walked into our
family of 2 other dogs, a cat, some birds and chameleon and within a few
days she loved everyone. She is well behaved, loves people, walks great
on lead and is just plain loveable. It was great to not have to potty
train, chew train, or try to socialize her and the obedience training was
already in place. It was so worth the expense. The folks from the
Rolling Meadow Kennels are the nicest people to work with and they really
know what they are doing. If you have any reservations about this you
really don’t need to!!!

Barbara and Allen,
We have had Reagan (formerly Tim) for just over 2 weeks now and he is
doing great. He is the sweetest puppy, so responsive and the perfect fit
for our family. We absolutely adore him. I am so thankful that I was
referred to your website. I wanted to rescue a dog, but with my children
so young (5 years and almost 2 years old) my options were extremely
limited. You were able to offer me exactly what I wanted and needed, a
trained rescued dog. I will recommend you over and over again. You are
wonderful, honest people and I really do want you to know how lucky we
feel to have Reagan in our lives. Thank you so much for everything.
If you need a testimonial for your Pet Dogs For Sale, I hope you can use
this e-mail. I will keep in touch to let you know how he is doing and I
need to send you some pictures too! If you ever end up in the Chicago area
again, I hope you can stop by to see us.

To whom it may concern:
Several years ago a dog owner in our
county was taken to court on charges of animal abuse. He had attached
the shepherd that he no longer wanted to the back of his pick-up truck
and proceeded to drive away. The dog survived, with injuries. The collar
that had grown into his neck caused the skin to be pulled off, and the
pads of his feet were torn off as he was dragged behind the vehicle.
After the court trial, the dog was given to another owner, but
unfortunately, this person did not provide adequately for the dog's
needs and he became very difficult to control. The Humane Society of
Davidson County was finally able to take possession of him, and
immediately called on Allen and Barbara Simpson for help in changing the
dog's unacceptable behaviors. If anyone could give this dog a second
chance at life, they could. The dog received weeks of on-site training
from them, and the change was remarkable. Today, he lives his life
happily with a human and dog family, where he enjoys his very own sofa.
In 2006, the Humane Society was asked
by the North Piedmont Correctional Center for Women to participate in
the "New Leash on Life" program in which selected inmates are paired
with dogs in need of a permanent home. The inmates learn how to train
the dogs over a period of eight weeks, thereby learning a skill they can
take with them when they leave the facility, and the dogs learn the
behaviors they need to be a successful part of a human family. One of
the Humane Society's major responsibilities is to provide the trainer
for the program, and again, our first hope was the
Simpson's. They agreed to take on this challenging but rewarding task
and have successfully provided the training at the prison since the
program began in our county.
We are indebted to Barbara and Allen
for both their expertise in dog training and their compassion for people
and animals.

To Anyone Considering
Purchasing a Dog From Rolling Meadows Academy:
I
purchased a dog from Rolling Meadows 7 weeks ago. I would like to share my
personal experience during this process with anyone else that may have
questions or concerns about this company, its representatives, or the
services they provide.
First, I would like to give you a little background information about my
particular situation. I am a single parent of a young child. I have
cerebral palsy. I am mobile. However, I do have extreme difficulty with
balance. I did not need a service dog. However, I did need a very special
dog. I started my journey looking for the “perfect” dog for my situation
two years ago. I have searched every possible web site involving trained
dogs. The moment I found Rolling Meadows web site; I knew it was different
than the rest. I knew I had found something special.
Barbara spent an incredible amount of time on the phone with me so that
she could have a very clear picture of my situation. Matching the right
dog to the right family is the key ingredient to this process. If you are
willing to wait for the right dog, you will not be disappointed.
Rolling Meadows offers dogs at various training levels to meet different
needs. I purchased a level 2 dog. Once your dog has been chosen, an
appointment is set to deliver the dog. This service is priceless. When
they bring the dog into your home they do the following: introduce him/her
to family members (including other pets), introduce him/her to every area
of the house, and establish a potty area. Then they begin a series of
training sessions. During these sessions, you will practice with your dog.
You will also have an opportunity to ask any questions that you might
have. There is a definite routine for each day. It is presented gradually
so that you are not overwhelmed by everything at once. By the end of all
of the sessions, you will be able to comfortably interact with your dog. I
have been extremely pleased with my dog’s performance. She waits at every
door way for me to pass through safely first. She remains in a down stay
while I am cooking so that I will not trip on her. She NEVER jumps up, or
compromises my balance in any way. She does not bother any of my
daughter’s toys. She does not chew or mess with anything on the floor. She
has never had an accident in the house. I was surprised by how well the
commands transferred to me. The dog is not trained to only respond to one
person. The dog knows the commands, and responds to the person that is
giving those commands. Our dog is so well behaved that she follows the
commands of my seven year old daughter.
You may say to yourself, this sounds too good to be true. The truth is my
experience has really been that pleasant and enjoyable. I would not
hesitate to recommend Rolling Meadows to anyone searching for a
pre-trained adult dog.

Amy Wilkins

Hi, Allen and Barbara:
I just wanted to give you an update on our new "baby".
She is awesome. I can't tell you how thrilled we
are. Star is so loving and well behaved. She is
settling in very well. Her appetite could use a
little boost but she is starting to eat a bit more
every day. We all adore her and she has blended with
our family perfectly. I do believe she is happy to
have found her forever home. She "tucks" the kids in
bed at night by laying on the floor between their beds
and stays there until they fall asleep.
Thanks again for all of the love and effort you put
into her. Also, thanks for truly listening to what
our family needed and offering your guidance. It has
made all of the difference.
We will send pictures soon :)
Thanks a Million,

UPDATE: Hi
Allen and Barbara,
I have been meaning to email you for some time now!
Star is a wonderful addition to our family. She is
the BEST dog I have ever known and wonderful with the
kids. It has made such a difference in our life.
Jacob was so fearful after the attempted break-in, so
much so that he would not go to another room in the
house without me. He now goes all around the house
with his faithful companion. He is simply not afraid
with Star around. She is so loving and just sweet.
Thank you so much for listening to our needs and
finding the perfect pet for us. Star will be well
loved all of her life.
Thanks,
Jen Kasick

Hi Barbara & Allen:
We wanted to drop you a short note to let you know that Lilly is fitting
in very well with us. She has learned to be patient in the morning until
we get around to taking her out. When she is curious about something she
will stand on her hind legs and turn her head from left to right trying to
discern whatever she has become interested in, something like you might
see a Meerkat do; the neighborhood kids say "look Lilly is dancing!". She
is very friendly toward other people however she does have very strong
herding instincts and likes to try and chase bicycles or noisy vehicles.
When it comes to barking she needs more work, but we seem to be making
some progress in that area. She seems to be a dominant female and prefers
male dogs; we send her to camp twice a week for exercise and play with
other dogs; she loves her camp aunts.
Thank you so much for finding Lilly for us.

UPDATE: Hi Barb &
Alan,
Lilly's shots are all up to date. Lilly goes to camp twice a week where
she plays with other dogs. When she comes home, she is exhausted, but she
enjoys camp and gets real excited when camp day comes around. Here is a
picture of Lilly relaxing at home. We enjoy here company very much and we
are happy that she is our dog. Lilly is very smart and sometimes can be a
little sassy when she doesn't get her way, but it's really funny to
observe her during those times. Thanks for finding us such a nice pet.
Love ya,

We have been coming to Rolling Meadow
Kennels since our now three- year-old Australian Labradoodle was a puppy,
and we have been pleased and impressed with her care and training from the
beginning. Barbara and Allen and their boys are committed as a family to
this business. They run it so professionally in every aspect, from
cleanliness, to health watch, to comfortable quarters, to play and
exercise time, and to training. Our little Pongo adores Barbara and is
always excited to get out of the car and go inside for a visit, whether
it's for
extra training, an overnight, or a one-month stay. The Spencers give more
love and attention to their doggy guests while boarding than we could ever
imagine possible at any other facility. Since Pongo has been in training
there, they take the opportunity to give her refresher sessions while
she's boarding. She gets special play time with any of her "best friends"
who happen to be boarding at the same time.
We have known of dogs with major behavior and discipline problems come to
Rolling Meadows for help. Their owners have discovered that the problems
can be and are corrected. We like to cal Barbara "The Dog Whisperer."
This is the best dog training and boarding facility we have ever seen, and
we give Rolling Meadows a five star rating.
We would be happy to talk about our experiences there with anyone who
is considering taking their pets to Rolling Meadows.

Rolling Meadow Academy has worked a miracle
in the life of "Circuit". At just 6 months old, he was so aggressive and
dominate toward us that we were ready give him over to a rescue agency. If
I couldn't trust my own dog to pet him or reach for him while he was
playing, there was no way that I could trust him out in public. After
completing Basic Obedience the changes in him were astounding. Once he
"had a job to do" he was a happy dog. He has now went through agility
classes and has earned his Canine Good Citizen Certificate. There is more
trust between us now. He understands what we expect from him and we
understand why he behaves the way that he does. Barbara and Allen
literally saved our dogs' life. If they were not able to help us or help
Circuit, he would have been signed over to a rescue agency or even
worse... Thank you guys so much for all that you do!

"My dog had been bitten and became
aggressive towards other dogs. He attends work with me each day but at
85lbs I couldn't afford to have him injure another animal but also hated
to leave him alone in an Apt. all day. Glen and Barbara have done such a
wonderful job training him that not only can I continue to have him around
other dogs but also have him constantly praised for good behavior. He's
appeared on Animal Planet as an example to other companies about the
benefits that dogs in the workplace can provide so with their training we
can continue to provide that example. Thanks Glen and Barbara, you
receive my highest recommendations for an outstanding job."

"We feel Glen & Barbara has improved our
relationship with our dogs and taught us how to understand things from a
dogs point of view. Out of the several other trainers we spoke with, we
found that Glen was the only one who trained both the dog and owner
basically at the same time."

" During a trip to the vets, which has
always been a nightmare for me with all of my pets, my dog Jack started
barking and lunging at a Rottweiler in the waiting room. As the
Rottweiler stood up and made a move towards us, the man firmly said DOWN
and his dog immediately hit the floor. Although jack continued growling
and lunging. The Rottweiler never attempted a move or sound. When I
inquired about his dog, he said the dog was only 10 months old and had
taken basic obedience training at RMKCT. My decision was made. There was
no question in my mind that this was exactly what I was looking for. That
was 3 1/2 years ago. Jack is now competing in Competitive obedience and
has attained his Companion Dog (CD)."
