Delivery of your Pre-Trained Pet Dog

 

Personal Door-to-Door Delivery and introduction world wide:

Personal delivery, family/dog introduction and training instruction is available within the United States and to many international locations.  We will come to your home town and personally introduce the dog into your home, your family and other pets.  We teach you the 17 obedience and etiquette commands in a series of 30 minute training sessions over a 3 day period.  We are so confident of our dogs that we will even go with you to your veterinarian for a comprehensive health and temperament evaluation.  

 

We will provide personal hands on care to your pre-trained dog while he is in transport. Frequent stops are made for comfort, exercise, feeding, and watering. Care, cleanliness, safety, and timely delivery of your perfect pet is most important to us. Your pet will travel in a climate controlled SUV with heat and air conditioning. We carry a cell phone so that we can be in touch with you at all times and you will be able to know how your pet is doing.

 

We have been in the animal care business for 13 years and feel comfortable offering you our door-to-door delivery service. We supply secure approved crates, bottled water and bedding during shipment. We will supply a tentative schedule prior to pick up and will be in touch by telephone. As we get closer to the delivery destination, we will call to give a better time frame. Arrangements should be made to have someone there for the delivery. The price will vary depending on the distance, please contact the Academy for the cost and dates available.

You can pick up your trained pet dog at our facility in Denton, NC, once the training is complete, where you will receive 2-3 days of family/dog introduction and training instructions (included in the price of the dog).

 

We teach you the 17 obedience and etiquette commands in a series of 30 minute training sessions over a 2-3 day period. Your dog will spend the night with you at one of our local pet friendly hotels. (fifteen minutes from the kennel)

 

 

 

 

As we consider personal delivery essential in order to insure a smooth transition as well as to obtain optimal performance of the dogs training we do not ship our dogs.

 

We work with you and your ©pre-trained adult pet dog™ together by showing both of you how to understand each other.  Professional "dog trainers" usually do not train the dogs, but actually train the owners how to train their own dogs. Although it is also possible to send a dog away to a training school, the owner still must at some point learn what the dog has learned and how to use it and reinforce it. Owners and dogs who attend our handler instructions together have an opportunity to learn more about each other, the dog behavior and how to work together under a trainer's guidance. Training is most effective if everyone who handles the dog takes part in the training to ensure consistent commands, methods, dog behavior and enforcement.
 

Fundamentally, dog training and dog behavior are about communication. From the human perspective the handler is communicating to the dog what dog behavior is correct, desired, or preferred in what circumstances. From the canine perspective the handler must communicate what dog behavior will give the most satisfaction to his natural instincts and emotions. Without that inner satisfaction a dog will not work well.

A successful handler must also understand the communication that the dog sends to the handler. The dog can signal that he is unsure, confused, nervous, happy, excited, and so on. The emotional state of the dog is an important consideration in directing the training, as a dog that is stressed or distracted will not learn efficiently.
